Week 41

This week flew by it has been starting to get really hot. The days have been about 95 degrees and it is a bit miserable to be walking around in white shirts and pants but I am getting by. The crazy part is that there is still another month of winter. I have been told in the summer it gets up to around 122 degrees so I am glad that I won´t be around for that. It is possible that I will get transferred this transfer so I could be writing at a weird time next week. This week was awesome we had one investigator tell us that he wanted to be baptized and we thought he was going to tell us that he didn't want us to pass by any more.  So we should have a baptism this week. We threw a surprise party with the help of a member here for our district leader. He actually didn't figure it out. We had a stake conference thingy this week so all of the branch had to travel 40 minutes in bus to get to Oran.

Well that was my week.

Week 40

Well there went another week. I don´t remember too much which usually means I didn't do too much that was exciting just normal missionary stuff. Like teaching people and walking around a lot. We had a birthday party for my district leader and we had another asado. We also had baptisms this week but we had to travel to Oran which is about 30 minutes in bus to do our baptism there because we still don´t have a pool to do our baptisms. It was super great and the other Elders from the two branches there were baptizing too so there were a lot of people that showed up.

Week 39

Well the weeks have flown by and I am once again over half way done with this transfer. This week was really good, but the weather was a bit weird. It was almost 100 degrees one day and the next I had to walk around with a sweater. I ate a really donut this week. It was awesome. We bought them in the Changomas which is literally just Walmart with a different name. Because if you read the cash registers they say Walmart. We had splits with the zone leaders and I got to hang out with Elder Kelly for a day. He is super awesome and likes the same music as me. I also have been sick this week with a cold or a bit of the flu which was rough but I am getting better now. Also one day there was a huge bingo put on in front of the church when we were supposed to have a family home evening. We ended up canceling because there was too much noise in front of the church but it was super crazy because literally every person in Pichanal was there. We played soccer again today and we wore a hole in our ball that we bought just over a month ago.

Week 38

I don´t know why but the weeks here in Pichanal pass by much quicker than the ones I had in Mitre. I can´t believe it is time to write everyone again. Well for this week I ate really well. Almost every day I wrote about food in my journal. My companion worked as a chef in his home so I let him cook whenever we have to cook and it usually turns out well. This week I got to go on splits with the Elders from Colonia and I got to visit Colonia with Elder Brady. He is super awesome but was a little scared to be the one leading his area because he is pretty new, but we had a lot of fun and only got lost a couple of times. We also had our Zone conference this week so all in all I didn't spend a whole lot of time in my area. Also one day we got locked in the church because there are two doors to leave the church and one of them wasn't working and we don´t have a key. But someone let us in and then shut the door behind us because we don´t have that key, but we found out that our key to the other door doesn't work from the inside. We ended up having to call someone to let us out of the church.
